Teachers' Bios

Jessica Larsen:
Drawn to Hinduism and Buddhism since she was quite young, Jessica has been a devoted yoga practitioner for eight years. She gained experience in the mental and physical practice of yoga at Jivamukti Studio in New York City and was delighted to find ACI in 2006, in order to integrate all eight limbs of yoga into her practice. A graduate of YogaWorks Teacher Training Program, she is also a massage therapist. Her class is packed with wisdom, power, and laughter, and fully feeds the body and mind in just an hour.

Mira Kingsley:
Mira is a devoted student of Tibetan Buddhism under the primary guidance of her teacher Lama Marut. Over the past 10 years she has taught Hatha yoga, sacred dance, and her unique combination of dance/theater at numerous schools around the country including New York University and California Institute of the Arts. She is currently a full time Professor of Dance at The University of California Santa Barbara. Her classes infuse Dharma, poetry and dance throughout a flowing practice that makes your prana sing.

Mahasukha Yoga Sarah Canfield:
Yoga has always been the key to happiness in Sarah's life. In the year 2000, she decided to become a yoga teacher to help others find the same bliss that she found in this sacred practice. She received a 200-hour certification in Hatha Yoga from Yoga Kingdom Sanctuary in Pasadena, CA was trained to teach Vinyasa Yoga at Life in Motion in New York, NY. She has recently discovered Buddhism and is currently training to teach Tibetan Heart Yoga. Her classes, based on the heart-opening THY Series 1, are both relaxing and empowering for all levels of students.

Rebecca Stanley:
Rebecca Stanley began her official practice of yoga in college when an amazing teacher appeared in her life as her best friend. Finding Tibetan Buddhism through her yoga teachers in New York, she has now been studying and practicing for almost 3 years. She thanks all her various Teachers and asks them to please stay in her life. Having recently completed the 300-hour Yoga Studies Institute teacher training in Arizona, Rebecca will be teaching classes inspired by Tibetan Heart Yoga Series 1-4, working on moving your inner body, outer body, heart and mind.
