 ira Kingsley has completed the 36 courses of the ACI foundational and advanced curriculum under the tutelage of her Teacher, Venerable Sumati Marut. She has taken Lifetime Layperson’s vows, Bodhisattva vows and the advanced vows.
Mira has been teaching yoga and sacred dance around the country for over a decade. In NYC, she taught for several years at New York University (NYU) and then in LA at the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts). She currently serves as a fulltime Professor of Dance at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB). Her work as a director, choreographer and performer focuses on the compelling relationship between the performing arts and spiritual practice. |
