  rma Gomés began her Buddhist studies in Mexico city in 1991, as a student of Lamas Ole and Hannah Nydahl. She spent her summer school years traveling abroad to study Dharma and doing retreats. She then moved to Canada to pursue a PhD in Resource Economics. In December 2000 she took her first ACI course from Geshe Michael Roach in Bodhgaya, India and since then she has completed all 18 courses. Over the years she has studied with many great Teachers of the Kagyu, Nyingma and Gelug traditions in different parts of the world. She started her advanced studies with ACI-LA in 2004. Irma now lives in France and makes great efforts to come to Los Angeles and continue learning from Holy Lama Marut.
